Duy Tan University

Duy Tan University is a private research university in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The history of Duy Tan University (DTU) dates back to the early 1990s when a group of Vietnamese intellectuals decided to establish a private university in Da Nang to provide high-quality education to the youth of the city and the surrounding regions.

In 1994, the Duy Tan Education Foundation was established, and DTU was officially founded on September 26, 1994. The university was named after Emperor Duy Tan, who is regarded as one of the greatest Vietnamese patriots.

DTU started with only two faculties: the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Foreign Languages. However, the university quickly expanded, and by the late 1990s, it offered a wide range of undergraduate programs in a variety of fields.

In 2009, DTU was authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training to offer postgraduate programs.

DTU has also established a number of research centers and institutes, which conduct cutting-edge research in a variety of areas, including engineering, technology, medicine, and social sciences.
