Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) is a technology university based in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The history of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) can be traced back to 1930, when it was founded as the Kharkiv Institute of Engineering and Construction. The institute was established to meet the growing need for engineers in the rapidly developing Soviet Union.

In 1934, the institute was renamed the Kharkiv Institute of Geodesy and Cartography. During World War II, the institute was evacuated to the city of Ufa, where it continued to operate until 1944. After the war, the institute returned to Kharkiv and resumed its operations under its original name.

In 1948, the institute began to offer programs in radio electronics. In 1951, it was renamed the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics. During the Soviet era, the institute was one of the leading universities in the Soviet Union in the field of radio electronics.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the institute became independent and was renamed Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
