Ndejje University

Ndejje University is a private university in Uganda. This institution of higher learning was established in 1992 with a vision to provide quality education within a Christian context. It emerged from the need for a university that would serve the Buganda region of Uganda and be rooted in the values of the Church of Uganda. Initially, it operated under a different name and ownership structure. However, in 1995, it acquired its current status under the Anglican Diocese of Luweero. This marked a significant step in its development, solidifying its connection to the Church and its commitment to faith-based education.

Over the years, the institution expanded its reach and influence. In 2002, a pivotal change occurred as the ownership base broadened to include all six dioceses of the Church of Uganda in the Buganda Region. This solidified its position as a prominent educational institution within the province. The institution has been a pioneer in private university education in Uganda. It has grown to become a leading private university, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines. It has also established multiple campuses to cater to a diverse student population.

Throughout its history, the institution has remained committed to its core values of academic excellence, Christian faith, and service to the community. It strives to provide a holistic education that prepares students for leadership and success in their chosen fields. Today, this institution stands as a testament to the power of vision, dedication, and community support. It continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of Uganda by providing quality education and fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
