Makerere University

Makerere University is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school.

The history of Makerere University can be traced back to 1922, when it was founded as a technical school. The school was initially established to train Ugandan students in carpentry, building construction, and mechanics.
