Koc University

Koç University is a non-profit private university in Istanbul, Turkey.

Koç University was founded in 1993 by Vehbi Koç, a Turkish businessman and philanthropist. The university was established as a non-profit institution with the mission of providing a world-class education to students from Turkey and around the world.

Koç University started education in temporary buildings in İstinye in 1993, and moved to its current Rumelifeneri campus near Sarıyer in 2000. The campus is located on a 62-acre estate with stunning views of the Bosphorus Strait.

In its early years, Koç University offered a limited number of undergraduate programs in business, engineering, and sciences. However, over the years, the university has expanded its academic offerings to include a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs.
