Manouba University (UMA) is a public university in Manouba, Tunisia.
The history of Manouba University can be traced back to 1986, when the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Humanities (FLAHM) was founded. FLAHM was the initial nucleus of the new university in 2000 and has sections covering six languages, history, geography and comparative religion.
The university was officially inaugurated on September 20, 2000 by then-President of Tunisia Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Since its founding, Manouba University has grown rapidly and is now one of the largest universities in Tunisia.
In its early years, Manouba University focused on undergraduate education. However, in recent years, the university has expanded its graduate programs and now offers a wide range of master's and doctoral degrees.
