Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University is a public university located in Sakon Nakhon Province, Thailand.

Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University boasts a rich history dating back to 1964. Established initially as the Sakon Nakhon Teachers' Training School, it played a pivotal role in nurturing future generations of educators in Thailand. In 1970, the institution evolved into Sakon Nakhon Teachers' College, expanding its scope to offer Bachelor's Degrees in Education. This marked a significant step in providing a more comprehensive educational foundation for aspiring teachers.

A pivotal moment arrived in 1995 when His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulayadej bestowed the honorific title "Rajabhat Institute" upon all teacher colleges in Thailand. This royal decree elevated the status of these institutions, recognizing their vital contribution to the national education system. Consequently, Sakon Nakhon Teachers' College transformed into Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, solidifying its position as a leading center for teacher education and beyond.

The university's campus, situated roughly 6 kilometers from Muang City, offers a stimulating environment for students.
