Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna

Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna is a well-regarded science and technology university located in Chiang Mai, Thailand's northern region.

Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) boasts a rich history deeply rooted in Thailand's commitment to vocational education. Its journey began in 1975 as a campus of the Institute of Technology and Vocational Education.  Back then, it was known as the Northern Technical Institution.  In 1988, it received its current name, Rajamangala Institute of Technology (RIT), Northern Campus, bestowed by His Majesty the King. Finally, in 2005, following Thailand's National Education Act of 1999, it rose to the status of a full-fledged university, solidifying its position as a leader in vocational learning within the northern region.

Over the past five decades, RMUTL has continuously evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of the workforce. It has expanded its reach beyond Chiang Mai by establishing campuses in Chiangrai, Tak, Nan, Phitsanulok, and Lampang, ensuring wider accessibility to quality vocational education across the north.
