Mahasarakham University

Mahasarakham University is a well-regarded public university in Thailand.

Mahasarakham University boasts a rich history that reflects Thailand's evolving educational landscape. Its roots can be traced back to 1963 when it began as the Mahasarakham Teachers Training College. This institution played a crucial role in nurturing educators for the Isan region. Recognizing the growing need for higher education, it transitioned into a full-fledged university in 1994, christened Mahasarakham University (MSU). 

Mahasarakham University offers a dynamic campus experience that caters to students' academic and social well-being. The university is spread across two campuses: the bustling Downtown Campus and the scenic Kham Riang Campus. Both campuses provide modern facilities, including well-equipped libraries, state-of-the-art laboratories, and comfortable student dormitories.

Beyond academics, MSU fosters a vibrant student life.  There are numerous student clubs and organizations that cater to diverse interests, ranging from cultural groups to sports teams and academic societies. Mahasarakham University's motto, "Bahūnam Paṇḍito Jīve (ผู้มีปัญญา พึงเป็นอยู่เพื่อมหาชน)," translates to "Public devotion is a virtue of the learned" in English. This motto serves as a guiding principle for students and faculty alike, emphasizing the importance of using their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society. MSU encourages its students to become responsible and engaged citizens who contribute positively to their communities and the nation as a whole.
