Loei Rajabhat University

Loei Rajabhat University is a public university in Loei Province, Thailand.

Loei Rajabhat University (LRU) boasts a remarkable history intertwined with the educational growth of Loei Province. Founded in 1973 as Loei Teachers' College, it began by addressing a critical need – qualified educators.  LRU welcomed its first 640 students in 1976, offering a diploma program in education. Recognizing the evolving needs of the region, the institution began offering bachelor's degrees in 1980.  This expansion continued in 1985 with the introduction of programs beyond education, solidifying LRU's commitment to comprehensive learning.

A significant milestone arrived in 1995 when LRU earned recognition as a Rajabhat Institute, signifying its growing stature within Thailand's higher education landscape.  Finally, in 2004, LRU achieved the prestigious status of a university, solidifying its position as a cornerstone for learning and development in Loei.
