Kalasin University

Kalasin University is a government university located in Kalasin Province, northeastern Thailand.

Kalasin University is a young institution in Thailand's higher education landscape. Established in 2015, it wasn't a completely new university but rather a product of a merger. The Royal Thai Government, recognizing the need for a comprehensive university in Kalasin province, decided to combine the existing Kalasin Rajabhat University and the Kalasin Campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan. This official establishment was documented in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on September 8, 2015.

The merger brought together the strengths of both institutions. Kalasin Rajabhat University had a focus on teacher education and other arts and social science programs.  The Kalasin Campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan offered programs in technology and related fields. By combining these areas of expertise, Kalasin University was able to launch with a diverse academic portfolio right from the start.

Kalasin University is also committed to research and development. The Phu Sing Research and Development Center serves as a valuable resource for students in agricultural programs. Here, they can gain practical experience in plantation and farming techniques, preparing them for careers in Thailand's important agricultural sector.  The university's focus on both theoretical knowledge and practical application makes it an attractive option for students seeking a well-rounded education.
