Hatyai University

Hatyai University is a private university in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Thailand.

Hatyai University's story starts in 1997. Back then, it wasn't a university but Hatyai City College, the first private institution of higher learning in southern Thailand. Madam Praneet Didyasarin, known for founding the Hatyai Amnuaywit School Group, played a pivotal role in establishing the college.

Two years later, in 1999, Hatyai City College's official foundation ceremony was held with great fanfare. This marked a significant milestone for the institution. It was also in 1999 that the college launched its first academic programs – the Faculty of Business Management offered a four-year and a two-year option, both focusing on Business Computer and Human Resources Management.

Finally, in 2003, HCC's dedication and growth culminated in a momentous achievement. On June 4th, the much-anticipated transition happened: Hatyai City College officially received university status and became Hatyai University. This marked a new chapter, allowing the institution to offer a wider range of undergraduate and graduate programs. Hatyai University continues to evolve, attracting students not only from Thailand but also from neighboring countries in Southeast Asia. It strives to be a leading educational institution in the south, preparing students for successful careers in a globalized world.
