National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) is a public university in Taipei, Taiwan.
The history of National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) can be traced back to 1912, when it was founded as the Taipei Vocational School. The school was established by the Japanese colonial government to meet the growing demand for skilled workers in Taiwan.
In 1943, the school was renamed the Taipei Technical College. After World War II, the school was transferred to the control of the Republic of China government. In 1974, the school was upgraded to university status and renamed the National Taipei Institute of Technology.
