Chungbuk Health & Science University

Chungbuk Health & Science University is a private institution located in Cheongju, South Korea.

The university was founded in 1990 as Jusung Institute with a vision to provide quality education in various fields. In 1991, it received official approval to establish Jusung College, which marked the beginning of its academic journey. The first dean, Dr. Han Won-young, was instrumental in shaping the college's early foundation. By the end of the year, the college opened its doors to its first batch of students, eager to pursue their higher education. In 1993, the university signed its first industry-commissioned education agreement with Daenong Co., Ltd., forging a strong connection between academia and industry. This partnership allowed students to gain practical experience and apply their learning in real-world settings. The following year, the university celebrated its first graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in its development and a testament to its growing academic success. 

In 1995, the university expanded its offerings by opening a social education center, catering to a wider range of learners. The following year, in 1996, the university launched a language school to further enrich its academic environment and offer more diverse programs. In 1997, the university was recognized as an excellent institution in the field of information and communication, reflecting its commitment to staying ahead of technological advancements and academic innovation. In 1998, the university changed its name to Jusung University to better reflect its broadening scope and vision. By 2005, the university received approval to become a comprehensive university, allowing it to offer a wider range of programs and disciplines. In the same year, the university was renamed Chungbuk Health & Science University, aligning its identity with its focus on health, science, and technological fields, continuing to build its reputation as a leading educational institution.
