University of Žilina
The University of Žilina (UNIZA) is a public university located in Žilina, Slovakia.
The history of the University of Žilina (UNIZA) dates back to 1953, when it was founded in Prague as the College of Railways. In 1959, the institution was renamed the University of Transport and moved to Žilina.
In the following decades, the university underwent a number of changes, including the addition of new faculties and the expansion of its academic offerings. In 1996, the University of Transport and Communications was renamed the University of Žilina.
UNIZA has a strong international reputation and collaborates with universities and institutions all over the world. The university is also a member of a number of international organizations, including the European University Association (EUA) and the European Association for Management (EFMD).
