SIM University
SIM University is a private university operated in Singapore from 2005 to 2017.
Established in 2005, this private university aimed to bridge the gap for working adults in Singapore seeking to upgrade their skills and advance their careers. As Singapore's second private university after Nanyang University, UniSIM played a significant role in making higher education more accessible. It emerged from the Singapore Institute of Management Open University Centre (SIM-OUC), a collaboration between SIM and Open University UK.
Unfortunately, after 12 years of operation, UniSIM underwent a restructuring in 2017. It merged with other institutions under the SIM Group to form the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). While UniSIM is no longer an independent university, its legacy lives on in SUSS, which continues to champion accessible and industry-relevant education for adult learners.
