University of the Philippines Visayas is a public research university in Iloilo, Philippines.

UPV was established in 1965 as a constituent university of the University of the Philippines system. Initially known as the University of the Philippines College in Iloilo City, the institution was focused on addressing the educational needs of the region. In 1967, it relocated to Miagao, Iloilo, and was renamed the University of the Philippines Visayas, marking a new chapter in its commitment to regional development.
