Quaid-i-Azam University
Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is a public research university in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is one of the most prestigious universities in the country.
The history of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) dates back to 1967, when it was established as Islamabad University under the Act of National Assembly. The university was initially established to offer PhD and MPhil programs in a limited number of disciplines. However, over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of fields.
In 1976, the university was renamed Quaid-i-Azam University in honor of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The university has since grown to become one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Pakistan.
