Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is a federal government-owned university located in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) was founded in 1981 by the then-President of Nigeria, Shehu Shagari. The university was established with the mandate to provide quality education, research, and innovation in science and technology. FUTA is one of five federal universities of technology in Nigeria, and it is the only one in the southwestern region of the country.
