University of Amsterdam (UvA) is a public research university located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is one of the largest universities in Europe, with over 31,000 students and 6,000 staff members. The UvA is a member of the Coimbra Group and the European University Association.
The University of Amsterdam (UvA) is one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands, founded in 1632 as the Athenaeum Illustre.
