Lebanese International University

Lebanese International University (LIU) is a private university in Lebanon with campuses across the country and even abroad.

The Lebanese International University, or LIU, started its journey in 2001 as "The Bekaa University." Born from the vision of philanthropist Abdul Rahim Mourad, it sprouted its first campus in the fertile Beqaa Valley. In its inaugural year, it welcomed its first batch of eager freshmen, laying the foundation for its academic legacy.

Soon, LIU's ambitions blossomed beyond the Beqaa, and with a new name "Lebanese International University," it opened its doors in bustling Beirut. This expansion ignited a period of rapid growth, with campuses blooming across Lebanon in Sidon, Tyre, Nabatieh, Tripoli, and Mount Lebanon. LIU's reach even transcended national borders, establishing sister universities in Yemen, Senegal, and Mauritania.
