Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (KRSU) is a public university located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (KRSU) was founded in 1951 as the Kyrgyz State University. The university was established to meet the growing need for higher education in the Kyrgyz Republic, which had recently gained independence from the Soviet Union.
In the early years, KRSU was a small university with only a few faculties and departments. However, the university quickly grew and expanded its offerings. By the 1960s, KRSU was one of the leading universities in the Soviet Central Asia region.
In 1993, KRSU was renamed the Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University to reflect the university's close ties to Russia and other Slavic countries. The university also began to offer programs in English and other languages, making it more accessible to international students.
Today, KRSU is the largest university in Kyrgyzstan and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields.
