Maseno University is a public university in Kenya.
The history of Maseno University can be traced back to 1955, when it was founded as Maseno Teachers College. In 1963, it was renamed Maseno University College and became a constituent college of Moi University. In 2001, Maseno University became a fully fledged university.
Maseno University is the only university in the world that lies along the equator. It is also one of the original seven universities in Kenya.
Maseno University has played an important role in the development of Kenya, and its graduates have gone on to hold leadership positions in government, business, and academia.
