The Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny (INP-HB) is a public polytechnic institute of higher education, research, and production in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
The history of the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny (INP-HB) begins in 1962, when the École Nationale Supérieure des Travaux Publics (ENSTP, 'National School for Advanced Training in Public Works') was founded in Yamoussoukro. In 1979, the École Supérieure d'Agronomie (ESA, 'School for Advanced Training in Agronomy') was also established in Yamoussoukro.
In 1996, the ENSTP and the ESA merged to form the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët Boigny. The institute was named after Félix Houphouët-Boigny, the first president of Ivory Coast, who was a strong advocate for education and development.
Since its founding, INP-HB has grown rapidly to become one of the leading polytechnic institutes in Africa.
INP-HB has also established strong partnerships with universities and research institutions around the world. These partnerships have helped to enhance the quality of the institute's academic programs and to promote collaboration on research projects.
Today, INP-HB is a major center for higher education and research in Ivory Coast. The institute plays an important role in the country's development by providing highly skilled graduates to the workforce and by conducting research that helps to solve the country's most pressing problems.
