University of Notre Dame in Haïti

Université Notre Dame d'Haïti (UNDH) is a Haitian university located in Port-au-Prince, with additional campuses in several other cities across the country.

In 1995, amidst the challenges faced by Haiti, a beacon of hope arose – Université Notre Dame d'Haïti (UNDH). Born from the vision of the Haitian Conference of Bishops, UNDH opened its doors with a mission to provide quality education infused with Catholic values. Stepping onto the scene in Port-au-Prince, it quickly established itself as a symbol of educational opportunity for students seeking knowledge and skills to contribute to their nation's development.

Early years saw UNDH blossom with two prominent faculties: Medicine and Health Sciences, and Economic, Social, and Political Sciences. These pillars addressed not only individual well-being but also the social and economic fabric of Haiti. As demand surged, the university expanded its reach, setting up additional campuses in Cap-Haitien, Cayes, and Jacmel. Each campus housed unique faculties, tailoring education to the specific needs of their communities.
