Arsi University

Arsi University is a public university situated in Asella, Ethiopia.

The university is established in 2014 due to the merger of several institutions, among them a health science college and an agricultural college. Asella is a town of agricultural significance; hence, it profoundly emphasizes agricultural studies and research. The establishment of Arsi University was a landmark development for uniting educational resources in the region. It has afforded such a platform for innovations and multidisciplinary learning. The university is envisaged to improve higher education access as well as human resources in the many fields it encompasses based on the needs of the region. It was purposed to be a center of excellence integrating education and regional development with an aim to service local needs.
