Although only founded in 2011, Ambo University has come into its own and offers a wealth of undergraduate programs through its eight colleges: Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences; Business and Economics; Medicine and Health Sciences; Natural and Computational Sciences; Social Science and Humanities; Development Studies Institute; Education and Professional Studies Institute; and Technology Institute. Ambo University is supportive of the research capacity of the faculty it employs, who engage in noteworthy research for the betterment of society and the world. In addition to engaging academically, Ambo University has developed a welcoming campus atmosphere that promotes a sense of community, mutual respect, and respect for varying perspectives.
