The Brno University of Technology (BUT), also known as Vysoké učení technické v Brně in Czech, is a highly regarded technical university located in Brno, Czech Republic.

Yet, beneath the surface, students whispered dissent, and in 1989, their voices erupted in the Czechoslovak Revolution, shaking the very foundations of the government.

With the Velvet Revolution, freedom painted the walls of the university anew. New faculties burst into existence – information technology, business and management – echoing the changing world. Research partnerships crossed borders, and innovation became the university's mantra. In 2010, it proudly rechristened itself "Brno University of Technology," a testament to its unwavering commitment to the frontiers of technology.
