The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is a public research university in Limassol, Cyprus.

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) was established in 2004 as a public research university in Limassol, Cyprus. It is the second public university in Cyprus, after the University of Cyprus.

The idea of establishing a second public university in Cyprus was first raised in the early 1990s, in response to the growing demand for higher education in the country. The government of Cyprus appointed a committee to study the feasibility of establishing a new university in Limassol, and the committee recommended that the new university should focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The Cyprus University of Technology Act was passed in 2004, and the university welcomed its first students in the academic year 2007-2008. CUT initially offered undergraduate programs in four engineering disciplines: civil engineering, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and surveying and land management.
