Yunnan Normal University

Yunnan Normal University is a provincial public normal university in Kunming, Yunnan, China.

Originally established as a teacher's school, it has since transformed into a comprehensive university with over 26 schools and numerous research facilities. Through its journey, it has witnessed a significant period of Chinese history, the Sino-Japanese War. During this turbulent time, several prominent universities in northern China were forced to relocate, and their teacher's schools merged to form the National Southwest Associated University. After the war, the northern universities returned to their original locations, while the teacher's school remained, evolving into the independent institution it is today.
