Yanbian University of Science and Technology

Yanbian University of Science and Technology is a research university in the city of Yanji, Jilin, China.

The year was 1990, a time of growing international collaboration. In this spirit, a vision emerged for a unique educational institution in China – a joint venture between China and Korea. This dream took a significant step forward with the establishment of a foundation for a Chinese-Korean Technology University. The idea resonated with both governments, and over the next two years, it received official approval from China and South Korea. Finally, in June 1991, the Chinese National Board of Education ratified the establishment of the university, paving the way for its official opening in September 1992.
