North China Coal Medical University

North China Coal Medical University, formerly known as Tangshan Medical College, is a public university located in Tangshan, Hebei Province, China.

The seeds of this prominent medical university in China were sown in 1926 by a British surgeon. Back then, it was known as Tangshan Medical College, embarking on a long journey of shaping medical professionals.  The early decades were dedicated to establishing a strong foundation for medical education. In 1998, a significant transformation took place. The college partnered with the government and the Coal Ministry, evolving into a comprehensive university. This expansion not only broadened its academic scope but also solidified its position in the educational landscape. While the initial partnership included the Coal Ministry, the primary administrative responsibility eventually shifted to the provincial government.
