Harbin University of Science and Technology

Harbin University of Science and Technology is a large public university in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, China.

This university's history isn't a singular origin story, but rather the culmination of three institutions coming together. In the 1950s, each of these three institutes operated under the former Ministry of Machinery, all located in Harbin.  Fast forward to 1995, and a merger took place, uniting Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Electrical Engineering, and Harbin Higher Industrial Vocational School. This merger formed the current university we know today.

While the official founding year is 1995, the legacy of these predecessor institutions brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table.
