International University of Sarajevo
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is a private university located in the capital city Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) was established in 2004–2005 by the Foundation for the Development of Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and research in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university was founded with the vision of creating a world-class institution of higher education that would prepare students for success in the globalized economy.
IUS is a private university, and its primary source of funding is tuition fees. However, the university also receives financial support from the Foundation for the Development of Education and from other donors.
IUS began offering classes in the fall of 2006, with an initial enrollment of 32 students. The university has since grown rapidly.
IUS is known for its high academic standards and its commitment to internationalization. The university has a strong focus on research and innovation, and its faculty members are actively involved in international research projects. IUS also has a strong network of international partners, which provides students with opportunities for international exchange and internships.
