Tagore University of Creative Arts

Tagore University of Creative Arts (TUCA) is a private university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The story of Tagore University of Creative Arts, or TUCA, began in 2016 with a vision by eminent literary scholar National Professor Anisuzzaman. He dreamt of a university dedicated to nurturing Bangladeshi talent in the arts, inspired by the boundless creativity of Rabindranath Tagore. Joining hands with the renowned educationist Professor Nazrul Islam and legendary Tagore singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Professor Anisuzzaman brought his vision to life.

On June 7th, 2016, with the official approval of the Ministry of Education, TUCA came into existence. A 14-member Trustee Board led by Rabin Khan took the helm, guiding the young university on its mission to integrate artistic passion with rigorous academic foundations.

From its inception, TUCA embraced interdisciplinary learning, offering programs in Music, Drama, Dance, Fashion Design, and Business Administration. The academic philosophy, "The teaching of humanity is the ultimate teaching, and everything is subject to it," echoed Tagore's own values, emphasizing the holistic development of its students as creative and compassionate individuals.

With modern facilities and a vibrant campus life, TUCA quickly drew talented students and distinguished faculty. Today, it stands as a testament to the unwavering belief in the power of the arts to transform lives and enrich society. Its journey, though young, is already woven with stories of artistic expression, dedication, and boundless creative potential.
