Rangamati Science and Technology University

Rangamati Science and Technology University is a public university located in Rangamati, Bangladesh, commonly known as RMSTU.

The seeds for RMSTU were sown in 2001 with the passing of the 'Rangamati Science and Technology University Act'. However, it wasn't until 2013 that the university was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This marked a significant step in expanding access to higher education in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region, historically underserved in terms of academic opportunities.

RMSTU's mission is to provide quality scientific and technical education, while also promoting cultural harmony and development in the CHT region. Starting with a temporary campus at Tabalchharhi Shah High School and a mere 75 students in its first batch, RMSTU has come a long way. Today, it boasts a permanent campus in Jhagrabil, Rangamati, equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure to cater to its growing student body.

RMSTU's establishment has played a crucial role in empowering the communities of the CHT region.
