Mawlana Bhashani Science & Technology University (MBSTU) carries the legacy of a prominent leader and the dream of an accessible education. Though officially established in 1999, its roots stretch back to the vision of Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, a revered political figure. As early as 1957, Bhashani proposed the idea of an "Islamic University" focused on independent and honest citizens. Though his dream couldn't materialize in his lifetime, it sparked the movement for a university in Santosh, Tangail.

The embers of Bhashani's vision remained alive, and decades later, MBSTU rose from them. In 1999, with the aim to provide high-quality scientific and technological education, the university started its journey. Today, its modern campus stands as a testament to Bhashani's foresight and the collective efforts of those who nurtured his dream. While it deviated from the initial "Islamic University" concept, MBSTU embodies the core values of independence, dedication, and social responsibility that Bhashani championed.
