The story of Khulna Medical College begins not in 1992, as its founding year might suggest, but in the shadow of a different institution –Hospital of Khulna. This hospital, established before the college itself, served as the seed from which KMC would eventually grow. With the hospital as its foundation, Khulna Medical College blossomed into existence in 1992, starting small with a handful of students and limited infrastructure. Affiliation with Sheikh Hasina Medical University in 2020 deepened the college's academic standing, solidifying its place as a leading medical institution in the region.
