International University of Business Agriculture and Technology

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) was established in 1993 under the Private University Act (PUA) of 1992 (now replaced by PUA 2010) by M Alimullah Miyan.

The seeds of IUBAT were sown in 1989, a time when access to quality higher education in Bangladesh was limited. Visionary educationist Professor Dr. M Alimullah Miyan recognized the need for a university that bridged the gap between traditional academic disciplines and the emerging demands of the 21st century. Driven by this vision, Prof. Miyan laid the groundwork for IUBAT, carefully planning its curriculum and infrastructure. This dedication culminated in the official establishment of the university in 1991, making IUBAT the first non-government university in Bangladesh.

IUBAT's academic journey began in 1992 with a partnership with Assumption University of Bangkok, Thailand. This collaboration paved the way for offering internationally recognized degree programs in business and agriculture. The university quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to education, emphasizing practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. IUBAT also established itself as a pioneer in interdisciplinary learning, integrating business, agriculture, and technology into its curriculum.

Over the past two decades, IUBAT has steadily expanded its academic offerings. The university's commitment to research has also flourished, with faculty members actively engaged in groundbreaking projects across various disciplines. Today, IUBAT stands as a leading private university in Bangladesh, boasting a modern campus in Uttara, Dhaka. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including well-stocked libraries, modern computer labs, and comfortable student dormitories.

IUBAT's impact extends far beyond academic achievements. The university has played a significant role in fostering entrepreneurship, promoting sustainable development, and contributing to the social and economic progress of Bangladesh. As IUBAT looks towards the future, it remains committed to its core values of quality education, innovation, and social responsibility. The university continues to strive to empower future generations of leaders and shape a brighter future for Bangladesh and the world.
