Gono University, or Gono Bishwabidyalay in Bengali, is a private university located in Savar, Bangladesh. It was founded in 1994 with the vision of creating a new consciousness and commitment in the field of education, particularly to foster social development and human welfare.

The university's roots lie in Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK), a pioneering non-profit organization established during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Inspired by GK's dedication to healthcare and education, the concept of Gono Bishwabidyalay was formulated in 1994 and formally established under the Bangladesh National Parliament Private University Act-1992 on July 14, 1998. Initially operating from rented facilities in Dhaka, Gono Bishwabidyalay moved to its permanent campus in Nolam, Savar in 2003. The 200-acre campus boasts modern infrastructure, including academic buildings, well-equipped laboratories, a central library, student dormitories, and recreational facilities.
