Canadian University of Bangladesh is a private university in Bangladesh.
The story of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, or CUB, is one of recent establishment and rapid growth. It officially came into being in January 2016, approved by the Bangladeshi government and backed by the vision of its founder, Bangladeshi-Canadian businessman Chowdhury Nasir Sharafat. Just six months later, in June 2016, CUB's doors opened to its first students, eager to embark on their academic journeys.
From the outset, CUB aimed to provide high-quality education with a distinctly Canadian perspective. This meant incorporating Canadian values of inclusivity, diversity, and critical thinking into its curriculum and teaching methods. Additionally, CUB focused on fields relevant to the 21st century, with a strong emphasis on information and communication technology (ICT).
