Khazar University
Khazar University is a private university located in Baku, Azerbaijan.
It was founded in 1991, is the oldest and the top private university in Azerbaijan. It was established to satisfy the country's great necessity for qualified English-speaking specialists. In 1995, it was accredited by the State Accreditation Commission for Private Universities. In 1997, its academic programs, including graduate programs, were fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and Council of Ministers. On July 10, 2002, all academic programs of Khazar University were fully accredited by the Ministry of Education. Today, Khazar University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in English and Azerbaijani, and has a strong international reputation.
It has strong relations with different industries and research and development programmes.
The university has a strong international focus, with over 30% of its students coming from over 50 countries around the world. Khazar University also has a number of international partnerships, with over 40 universities in 22 countries.
Student life at Khazar University is vibrant and diverse. There are over 50 student clubs and societies, covering a wide range of interests, from sports and music to culture and academics. The university also has a number of student support services, including a student union, a career center, and a counseling center.
