University of Wollongong

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is a public research university located in the coastal city of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, approximately 80 kilometres south of Sydney.

The history of the University of Wollongong (UOW) can be traced back to 1951, when a division of the New South Wales University of Technology was established in Wollongong. UOW has also played a major role in the development of the Illawarra region. The university has helped to attract new businesses and industries to the region, and it has also provided a highly skilled workforce for local employers.
